History

Leopard jumper, boots & Rosary beads (vintage), Skirt (Supre), Bag (custom made), Chain necklace (mimco)

Just hangin round the Hills Hoist, as you do on freezing cold mornings. This is my new old knit jumper – I found it while out thrifting the other day and it was love at first sight. Too bad it’s not love at first sniff, because I can’t seem to get the previous owner’s musky perfume scent off it. It smells like Grandma no matter how much extra Miss Dior Cherie I spray on it. I imagine the previous owner wore it with plastic pearls and clip on earrings, and white or camel coloured slacks. She also wore perfume that she bought through her Avon lady, ding dong Avon calling.

I’m probably totally wrong and the previous owner was a pretty Indonesian lady boy who danced cabaret by night, had a string of wealthy beaus and went by the names Phillipe, or rather Foxy Phillipa (but still coincidentally bought her perfume from Avon).

Isn’t that the best thing about buying second-hand?

Anyway, big week ahead if I can get myself into action. And I’m already late for the dentist. Excellent start..

  1. hahahaha I agree

I always wonder who the previous owner could have been…itΒ΄s actually quite fun giving your second hand pieces a little bit of history…

loveeeeee that jumper, I’m a total sucker for leopard print. Hence I hope to be an old lady that parades around in leopard print one day and Chanel Rouge lipstick.
