(Wearing sass & bide blazer & Sportsgirl dagger earring.. and sass & bide explosion)
Oh hai. Just my enormous moonface and a whole heap of sass & bide. I have been on a spending splurge lately, it’s an addiction I can’t control – thank goodness for sales. Who doesn’t need a one-sie in their life? I mean seriously. I’m in love.
(Josh Goot collection preview at Green with Envy, Chapel St)
That awkward moment when you realise that you’re not even close to being well dressed enough to be standing in the same room as Christine Centenera.
Last night was the collection preview for Josh Goot at Green With Envy. There were real life models in the window (we definitely freaked out when we realised they were breathing and blinking and doing other human functiony stuff) and enough bright colour to knock your socks off. The collection itself was beautiful; neon brights pared back in athletic neoprene cuts and the dazzling prints that Josh Goot has become synonymous with. I am now obsessed with that shade of fluro pink.
Of course the rest of the store was just as amazing and my pal Alice and I spent the night ogling all the things we’d buy if we were rich – that is when we weren’t knocking back glasses of Laurent Perrier and duck liver canapes. My imaginary shopping list included but was not limited to; a beautiful sequinned Rachel Gilbert frock, a light aqua sleeveless Arnsdorf blouse, a white lace Lover dress, every basic by Nicholas in sight and the most spectacular fur vests. Not to mention the entire Pamela Love range. Ah, to dream…

I’m sure these have been blogged absolutely everywhere but there was no way I could not pop them here, as anyone who knows me, knows of my ridiculous obsession with cats. There is just no other word to describe my obsession. I think about them, look at them and dream about them all day long. I’m one of the only people in the world who thinks the biggest problem with the internet is that there are not enough cat videos on it. That crazy cat lady youtube video might aswell have been me (I’m just lucky enough to have a slightly cat crazy boyfriend so there is no need to take to eHarmony with my craziness).
ANYWAY, obviously the marriage between one of my favourite Australian labels and cats is a marriage made in Sam heaven. All that beautiful draping, soft whites, delicate layers and two good looking models – it’s truly the cat’s meow.*
* Bad joke.

When I watch TV gameshows and the contestant wins the consolation prize, I always get mad at them if they don’t act that excited about it. If I won the $1000 consolation on Millionaire Hot Seat, I’d be more than a little bit stoked – but then, this probably says more about my financial state than my love of Eddie McGuire. If I won $1000 today, then I would definitely be up for purchasing one or more of the above. I have been saving for an Alexander Wang Diego but the AUD just keeps getting worse and I feel a bit torn about it now. Perhaps the answer to my problem is to apply for Deal or No Deal (that’s my favourite).

Start spreading the news, New York, New York. I guess working on a brand that is obsessed with bold and bright colour is beginning to show! Fashion weeks are never short of wardrobe inspiration and I am loving what I have seen come out of this week! (Not to mention all of the local darlings making waves over there… hello Nicole, hello Jess!) Bring on London, Milan and Paris. I’m going to clean out my wardrobe this week so I can afford pretty new things.

Never have I coveted a pair of bright red wide-legged trousers so much in my life. Hello lover. Entitled “The White Serpent”, this collection is just heavenly – crisp, clean, tailored yet fluid, with the perfect amount of lace. Swoon.
